Scaling up Mental Health Services Delivery through Partnerships and Collaborations

The Integrated Mental Health Initiative (IMI) has entered a partnership with University of Kisubi, to promote mental health in East Africa. As part of the partnership, we will encourage our clients and supported communities to seek professional tests for specific mental health ailments at that university and be referred back to us for administration of psychotherapy.

We also agreed to provide leadership in mental health and ensure accreditation of mental health facilities, increase awareness and mental health seeking behaviour in Uganda and the region, and collaborate in research and innovation for sustainable mental wellness. For inquiries on how to benefit or to donate and  increase access to mental health services by out-reach communities, who are unable to find us or afford paid services.

IMI official, Jacob Waiswa Buganga and Dean of Human and Social Sciences (Dr. Evaristo), University of Kisubi shared notes on how to move forward to ensuring that communities are reached to benefit from professional and quality mental health services.
