Welcome to Meditation and Yoga Retreat at The Uganda Buddhist Center
On November 19-21, 2010
Join us for a special weekend meditation retreat
All beginners and experienced meditators are welcome.
Please come and have a life-changing experience of insight meditation (Vipassana) or simply center yourself !
The day will include basic meditation instructions, Yoga , meditation, Dhamma talks, discussions, and questions and answers session
Accommodation options:
The UBC has very limited accommodation; however, you are advised to choose the accommodation that is suitable for you:
1) Bring your own tent and camp at the Temple for free of charge.
2) Rent a room or dormitory at BANANA VILLAGE. This place offers a range of accommodation ( including bed and breakfast). For the dormitory, the price is US$12 dollars per night, including breakfast .
The Banana Village is 5 kms from the Uganda Buddhist Centre. You can get a taxi to bring you form the Banana Village to the Centre in the morning and evening.

Venue: Uganda Buddhist Centre, Bulega, Garuga, Entebbe, Uganda.
Time: Retreat starts on 5:00 pm on Friday and Ends at 5:00 pm on Sunday.
Cost : FREE !!! The teachings are freely offered , however, you are welcome to support their continuation in any way that you feel comfortable.

Meditation Teacher: Ven. Bhante Buddharakkhita was born in Uganda, Africa. Meditating since 1993, he was ordained as a Theravada Buddhist monk in 2002, in U.S.A .
Founder and President of the Uganda Buddhist Centre, Uganda, he teaches worldwide. He is a Spiritual Director of Flowering Lotus in MS, U.S.A and author of Planting Dhamma Seeds: Emergence of Buddhism on African soil.
Yoga teacher: Dr. Juuko Ndawula , naturopathic doctor ( Founder of IIACM)
